Tidying up and cleaning
A cleaning fee is included, but it does not cover everything. There are a few things you need to do before leaving the house (if there are things you haven’t used, you naturally don’t need to clean them):
- Remove all trash, empty cans, bottles, etc.
- Tidy up after yourselves and put things back in their proper place (baby equipment, garden furniture, toys, grill, outdoor games, garden cushions, etc.).
- Empty the dishwasher. Ensure that pots and pans are clean.
- Clean the Nespresso machine. Clean the gas grill and grill utensils, and put the cover and elastic cord back on.
- Washing machine: Please leave the door and the detergent drawer open.
- Tumble dryer: Empty the lint filter (located in the door).
- Wood-burning stove: Clean out the ashes. There is a metal bucket with a lid for ashes outside the annex (next to the container for returnable bottles). If there is soot on the stove glass, it can be cleaned by dampening a piece of paper towel and dipping it in some of the white ash. Rub the dirty area with the wet ash and wipe clean.
- Wipe down the garden tables with a cloth.
If these things are not done, we might get an extra bill from the cleaning company.
The house key
Lock the house and the laundry room. The key is put back in the key box. Close the box and turn the code wheels to something random and check once more that the box is closed and locked.
Consumption and payment
Upon departure, the meters must be read again, just as when you arrived. If you like, you can take a photo of the meters. Then calculate your total consumption.

The hot water tank
Please do not turn off the hot water tank. Instead, set it to the “4 o’clock” position.
